MAJOR ENDORSEMENT ALERT: Manteca Leaders Endorse Bob Elliott for Congress

TRACY, CA – – Today, County Supervisor Bob Elliott announced the endorsement of a strong list of Manteca leaders in his campaign for California’s 10th Congressional District. The announcement illustrates the strong grassroots support Elliott has in the Central Valley to take on first-time incumbent Josh Harder in 2020.

Former Mayor Steve DeBrum cited Elliott’s commitment to the community as the reason for his endorsement, “We need someone with strong core values who will listen to the people in the district and will make decisions on a no-nonsense basis. Bob Elliott is the person who will accomplish that task without compromising the best interests of the citizens of the district. This is why Bob Elliott has earned my respect, admiration and endorsement as the best candidate for the California’s Tenth Congressional District.”

In addition to Steve DeBrum the newly announced endorsements include:

Manteca Vice Mayor David Breitenbucher
Manteca Mayor Willie Weatherford(Ret.)
Manteca Mayor Jack Snyder(Ret.)

Manteca City Councilman Mike Morowit(Ret.)
Manteca Planning Commissioner Ron Laffranchi

Former Manteca Councilman Richard Silverman added, “In the last 7 years, Supervisor Elliott has demonstrated the professional, effective leadership that served him so well at West Point and throughout his career with the US Army. Bob is a rock-solid fiscal conservative who treats every taxpayer dollar with care, always trying to make government more effective and efficient while opposing wasteful spending.”

Bob Elliott graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in the top 5% of his class and later earned a Master of Arts Degree in National Security Affairs. He served our country for 30 years in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Colonel, U.S. Army Special Forces (the Green Berets).

Elliott subsequently served in the private sector with both General Electric and Westinghouse. Bob was elected to the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors in 2012 and was reelected in 2016.
