Modesto, CA – – Today, Republican Bob Elliott announced receiving the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC in his campaign for the 10th Congressional District. Organized to pass California’s landmark taxpayer protection law, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and its PAC have been instrumental in protecting California’s taxpayers since the 1970s.
Bob Elliott commented on the endorsement stating, “I am a steadfast supporter of Prop 13, and that will not change. California’s taxpayers are under attack not only from those who wish to change Prop 13 at the state level, but also from those in Washington D.C. who want to increase the size of government at the expense of taxpayers. I will continue to work to be a guardian of tax dollars and a voice for taxpayers when I’m elected to Congress.”
Bob graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in the top 5% of his class, and later earned a Master of Arts Degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School. Bob served his country for 30 years in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Colonel, U.S. Army Special Forces (the Green Berets). Colonel Elliott served as Deputy Commander of the 1st Special Warfare Training Group, and as Commander of the 4th Special Operations Support Command (Theater Army) (Airborne). He also served on diplomatic assignments in our U.S. Embassies in Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, Korea. He worked in the private sector in the nuclear energy and homeland protection businesses, and is currently a San Joaquin County Supervisor.
