TRACY, CA- – A nationally influential veterans organization has announced its support of Retired Green Beret Colonel and San Joaquin County Supervisor Bob Elliott this week in his campaign for the 10th Congressional District. Bob Elliott is currently running against first-time incumbent Josh Harder for the seat. The election will be one of the most competitive elections in the entire country.
In a message, Combat Veterans for Congress PAC Chairman and Co-Founder Joseph John stated, “COL Elliott is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to reduce the national debt, to strengthen the US Armed Forces, to protect the Freedom of Religion and Speech guaranteed in the US Constitution, will defend traditional Family Values, and will provide true representation for Veterans and the average American voter in his Congressional District. He understands issues facing our Veterans and will take action to ensure they are cared for both while serving their country and in retirement.”
“Our district is home to a significant number of veterans who have served their country proudly,” said COL Elliott in response to the announcement. “I’m the only candidate in this election who understands the needs of our veterans and I will fight for them in Congress. I am humbled to have been recognized by the Combat Veterans for Congress as a candidate they trust to unseat Josh Harder in November 2020.”
COL Bob Elliott’s background includes, 30 years of military service and uniquely qualifies him to be a voice for veterans in Congress.
Bob Elliott graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in the top 5% of his class and later earned a Master of Arts Degree in National Security Affairs. He served our country for 30 years in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Colonel, U.S. Army Special Forces (the Green Berets).
Elliott subsequently served in the private sector with both General Electric and Westinghouse. Bob was elected to the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors in 2012 and was reelected in 2016.
